Festivals

Festivals, it comes with the artist territory, not to mention it's one of the best places to make connections. But what to bring with you?

Lets start with the shoes, you are going to need comfortable walking shoes, really really comfortable walking shoes. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten blisters that I've had to walk through, since I tend to forget this step. To the girls that are thinking of their favorite pair of flats, thoes are not walking shoes. you need something that can get tied down, and luckily festivals are extremely casual.

Next layers, you never know what temperature the room is going to be. Think tank top, under shirt, under long sleeve with a light jacket.
Jeans or some kind of pants are a must. Half the time you end up forcing your meals into the 30 mins between panels, which also mean you occasionally eat outside, on the grass somewhere. Pants make these events immensely more comfortable.
Lastly on the off chance you don't get a tote bag at the start, you might want to bring one of your own. they're great for carrying your resumes, posters you buy, and anything else you collect along the way. On the opposite side make sure you have something small to carry your credit card, id, and a few business cards. some of the best nights are the bar outings, but really don't forget those business cards because it's super easy to maintain new friendships you make when they have your contact information.

Any who that's all for tonight.

Sincerely,
The Animator
